Take Advantage Of Our New Pricing Model

#Loomly — Take Advantage Of Our New Pricing Model

Today, on August 1st, 2017 we are happy to introduce a new pricing model, evolving from our historic, calendar-based Simple Plan, to a segmented set of five brand-new plans:

Loomly New Pricing

Why we are doing this

Since Day 1 — and actually even before that — we have always been focusing on what you, our beloved users, told us you wanted.

Speaking with you on a daily basis helped us understand that, while a price per calendar was offering some flexilibity, it was actually not a perfect fit for all of you.

Moving away from a calendar-based pricing, and towards a plan-based pricing, allows us to make Loomly:

  • More affordable for individual users and small teams, who can now connect more social accounts without paying for multiple calendars.
  • More scalable for larger teams, who can now create as many calendars as they need with all-inclusive plans.

Who can benefit from this new pricing model

  • If you signed up for Loomly before August 1st, 2017 11:00AM PST: whether you are already a Loomly customer, or still enjoying your free trial, and even if your free trial is over, nothing changes for you, you can still benefit from our Simple Plan. If you would like to take advantage of our new pricing model, simply reach out to us at contact@loomly.com.
  • If you sign up for Loomly after August 1st, 2017 11:00AM PST: you automatically benefit from our new plan-based pricing at the end of your 15-day free trial.

What’s in it for you

This new pricing model rolls out with three updates, letting you:

  • Save 20% with annual subscriptions compared to monthly subscriptions.
  • Enjoy a lighter version of Loomly, optimized for individuals (rather than teams), in calendars where you are the only collaborator.
  • Select alternative workflows, depending on your needs, with three options: Original (the one you already know), Lite (where approved posts get scheduled automatically) & Zero (where your posts can either be saved as Drafts, or get Scheduled & Published).

In addition, this new pricing model serves as the foundation for many upcoming and exciting updates, including:

  • A brand-new billing system, offering better & downloadable receipts (ETA: August).
  • A new referral program, which will let you earn money when you recommend Loomly around you (ETA: August).
  • A completely redesigned notification system (ETA August).
  • An improved user interface (ETA: September).
  • Native iOS & Android mobile apps (ETA: September).
  • Many, many more new features, targeting distinct & specific use cases…

More than ever, we want to thank you all dearly for your feedback and your support: it’s an honor to have the privilege of getting up in the morning and building Loomly for you.

Sincerely,

The Loomly Team.

Publish Posts Instantly With Your New Instant Publishing Feature

#Update — Publish Posts Instantly With Your New Instant Publishing Feature

Yes, Loomly is a social media scheduler that lets you plan your content in advance.

But sometimes, just sometimes, you need to publish a post right away, and scheduling it for 5 minutes in the future may not be the most convenient hack.

Enters your brand-new instant publishing feature, which simply publishes any unpublished post immediately for you on all your connected (and selected) social media accounts and marks it as published.

Loomly instant publishing feature demo

Note: when you “publish now” a post one multiple social media including Instagram, the state of your post will transition to scheduled until your mark your Instagram post as published, and will then automatically update to published.

Available from your List View, Post Builder and every Post View, either by marking a post as published or by actually taking the action of publishing a post instantly, this feature will particularly reveal useful when:

  • You forgot to publish a post and need to fix things quickly.
  • A post you had scheduled failed publishing and you want to publish it ASAP.
  • You need to duplicate posts from one calendar to another on the fly and are in a hurry to get them all published within a short window.

As always, this feature was inspired by your enlightening & encouraging feedback and we could not thank you enough.

We have many updates coming your way in the following weeks and can’t wait to share them with you all.

Have a fantastic end of your week,

The Loomly Team.

Calendy Is Becoming Loomly

#Update — Calendy Is Becoming Loomly

TLDR: Calendy is becoming Loomly & everything remains the same for you!

Love is all you need

You may not know this story, but Calendy was actually born out of love.

Back in May 2015, our Co-Founder Thibaud was looking for a solution to make his business & life partner Noémie’s job easier.

As a Social Media Manager, Noémie had to prepare dozens of editorial calendars for her clients every single month, and like most of us in the industry, was battling with spreadsheets & emails to get things done.

Noémie & Thibaud therefore started to build a simple tool, for their own use, that would do just one thing: simplify the process of social media content approval.

At this time, the platform was not even offering native scheduling features!

In any case, surprisingly enthusiastic feedback from their existing clients encouraged the pair to soft launch the platform in public beta in February 2016.

Long story short

Flash forward to today: more than 15,000 users — from individuals, to influencers, agencies & brands  — have joined us in this journey, helping our growing team improve Calendy thanks to their immensely valuable feedback, through many updates.

Along the way, we realized what made our platform truly unique: its ability to assist you, our beloved users, to create better content for your audience.

Just like a loom assists textile producers to weave cloth & tapestry.

This is the reason why, this week, Calendy is becoming Loomly.

Your favorite social media planning solution will start moving today, and until Friday, from www.calendy.co to www.loomly.com.

Calendy Is Becoming Loomly 3 seconds forever

What you need to know

Besides this slight domain name update, nothing changes for you:

  • Your user account & trial / subscription will still be active.
  • Your calendars will keep working the exact same way.
  • Your posts will get published as usual.

If you happen to get logged out in the process, simply log back in with your existing credentials.

Of course, if you have any question, please feel free to reach out to us at contact@loomly.com: while our name is changing, our desire to help remains intact.

We hope you will enjoy this new name as much as we do, and we can’t wait to share with you many exciting surprises in the next few weeks.

Thank you so much for everything,

The Loomly Team.

Publish Rich Media Posts To LinkedIn

#Loomly — Update: Publish Rich Media Posts To LinkedIn

As you may have noticed, it was not possible so far to publish rich media posts to LinkedIn from Loomly and have these posts show up properly on LinkedIn.

Indeed, unless you included a link in a rich media post, an image post for instance, this post was published to LinkedIn as a link post linking to the image of the post rather than a standard image post.

With the help of the incredible LinkedIn API team — thank you so much Aaron — our team was able to update Loomly in such a way that you can now seamlessly publish rich media posts to LinkedIn.

Yes: if you simply want to publish a photo on LinkedIn, you can do it now, no more link necessary.

Of course, this feature is already available for free to all Loomly users: check it out.

Thank you so much to all of you who had reported this limitation and for your patience while we were finding a solution.

And again, thank you very much to the LinkedIn API team for their invaluable and continuous support in this project.

Major Update Tag Other Users On Social Media With @Mentions

#Loomly — Major Update: Tag Other Users On Social Media With @Mentions

Today, we are very happy to announce a new feature allowing you to tag other users, pages & accounts on social media with @mentions directly from Loomly.

This is particularly useful when you want to mention another brand explicitly by their username in a post.

In practice, here is everything you need to know about this new @mention feature in Loomly:

  • @mentions are compatible with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest.
  • Enabling @mentions with Instagram & Pinterest will require that you refresh the connexions between these platforms and your calendar from the Publishing tab of your calendar Settings page — this is a one-time thing for existing connections only, new connections won’t require this procedure.
  • @mentions are available in the Fine-Tuning panel of Post Builder, allowing you to get usernames suggestions for each social network by typing the “@” symbole in the copy field.

@mentions are now available in Loomly for Facebook Twitter Instagram Pinterest

@mentions are already enabled for all Loomly users and of course available at no extra charge: check it out.

This update is yet another example of a feature you suggested to us and we are immensely grateful for your infallible feedback and support.

Thank you so much,

The Loomly Team.

Duplicate Posts Across Multiple Calendars

#Loomly — Update: Duplicate Posts Across Multiple Calendars

Some little things can really make your life easier, like taking a picture of the business card you’ve just been handed, in case you lose it.

Or, like this minor Loomly update that allows you to duplicate posts across multiple calendars:

duplicate posts across multiple calendars in Loomly

Until now, you could duplicate a post within the same calendar, which was a quick way to republish the same post several times, or build a post series without starting from scratch every time.

With this update, you can now reuse a post you create in one calendar, and duplicate it into another calendar, which can reveal practical in different cases, including (but not limited to) when:

  • You want to recycle a post idea across multiple calendars.
  • You are using different calendars for the same brand, but for different languages / countries, and just want to translate your posts without re-uploading your assets every time.
  • You need to announce a common event on the accounts of different brands.

You can duplicate posts both from your List View and from each individual post page.

Once more, this is a feature we built thanks to your awesome suggestions and we are immensely grateful for your continuous support, feedback and encouragements.

We have a pretty big update coming up and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Thank you so much, for everything.

The Loomly Team.

Leverage New Commenting Features For Advanced Collaboration

#Loomly — Update: Leverage New Commenting Features For Advanced Collaboration

Following up on our update from last week, and as part of an effort to improve collaboration inside Loomly, we are introducing today some brand-new commenting features.

You can now essentially do three things with each comment:

  • Pin to top: display a particular comment at the top of a post history. This is particularly useful when you need strategic information to stand out from the conversation. It’s also a practical way to take notes about your posts, for instance by including a URL in your comment for reference.
  • Mark as private: make a comment invisible to users with a Client role. This is relevant for teams of creators who want to work together before submitting content for review to their — internal or external — clients.
  • Delete: calendar Owners & Editors can now delete comments that were left by mistake, include errors or are simply no longer needed. Deleting a comment will remove it entirely from Loomly, in such a way that it won’t be recoverable.

Loomly update new commenting features

All three features are already available to all Loomly users: feel free to take them for a spin right now.

As always, these feature ideas were born out of your amazing feedback and we could not thank you enough for your suggestions and your encouragements.

If we may: please, keep them coming!

Sincerely,

The Loomly Team.

Structure Your Collaboration With New Client And Contributor Roles

#Loomly — Update: Structure Your Collaboration With New Client And Contributor Roles

If you are using Loomly as a team, we are happy to announce today an update that will let you structure your workflow one step further: brand-new Client and Contributor roles.

These new Client and Contributor roles are available from the Invite widget on your Dashboard, the Invite Collaborator page in your calendars and the Admin tab of your calendars’ Settings page.

Update Structure Your Collaboration With New Client And Contributor Roles

To make things easier, you can now check out roles definitions at any time, in order to understand clearly what permissions are associated with each role:

Here is the definition of each of the five roles now available in Loomly:

  • Owner : the Owner of a calendar has full permissions in terms of content management (create, edit, view, delete), collaboration (assign, update state, schedule, comment) and user management (invite, modify role, transfer ownership). There can be only one Owner per calendar.
  • Editor : an Editor has full permissions in terms of content management (create, edit, view, delete) and collaboration (assign, update state, schedule, comment). An Editor has limited user management permissions: she can invite other collaborators, but can only modify her own role, as well as Contributors, Clients & Viewers’ roles, and cannot manage ownership of the calendar. There can be several Editors per calendar.
  • Contributor : a Contributor has limited permissions in terms of content management (create, edit and view only — no delete), collaboration (comment, assign and submit for approval only — no approval, no scheduling) and user management (manage her own role only). There can be several Contributors per calendar.
  • Client : a Client has limited permissions in terms of content management (view and delete only — no create, no edit) but full permissions in term of collaboration (assign, update state, schedule, comment). A client has limited user management permissions (invite collaborators and manage her own role). There can be several Clients per calendar.
  • Viewer : a Viewer has limited permissions in terms of content management (view only — no create, edit or delete), collaboration (comment only — no assign, update state or schedule) and user management (invite collaborators and manage her own role). There can be several Viewers per calendar.

All five roles, including the brand-new Client and Contributor roles, are now available in all calendars: check them out.

As always, we want to thank you all dearly for your incredible support and your amazing feedback, both leading to yet another update: you are the best.

Sincerely,

The Loomly Team.

Track Your Post Performances With Analytics

#Loomly — Major Update: Track Your Post Performances With Analytics

Today, we are humbly introducing the first version* of a brand-new feature in Loomly: Analytics.

In each calendar, you can access your post performances by clicking on the Post Analytics icon in your toolbar:

Loomly Analytics Icon

You can track your post performances for all six social media platforms we currently support, month by month, with the following metrics:

  • Facebook: reactions, comments & shares.
  • Twitter: likes & retweets.
  • Instagram: likes & comments.
  • Pinterest: likes, comments & saves.
  • Google+: “+1″s, comments & shares.
  • LinkedIn: likes & comments.

Loomly Analytics Supported Social Networks

Analytics will be collected automatically for all platforms except for Instagram, which requires that you paste the URL of your posts to link them to Loomly, as follows:

Loomly Analytics Instagram

As always, this new feature comes at no additional cost: whether you are enjoying your 15-day free trial, or are already a Loomly subscriber, you don’t need to pay a dime more to access your post analytics.

And, as always, we want to thank you dearly for your support, your kind words and your enthusiasm: it’s a pleasure and an honor to build Loomly for you.

The Loomly Team.

*As mentioned at the top of this announcement, we are humbly announcing the first version of Loomly Analytics.

“Humbly” because we are not pretending to change the game in terms of social media analytics: helping you track your post performances is the obvious next step in the social media content creation process Loomly was designed for — and we want to help you do just that, as simply as possible.

“First version” because we have a lot in store for you to make this new feature better, and as usual, we can’t wait to learn from your amazingly constructive feedback and shape this part of Loomly accordingly.

In particular, we would love to know:

  • Which additional metrics are you interested in tracking?
  • How would you like to filter your data?
  • Do you have any preference when it comes to graphs and data visualization?
  • How do you want to export your post analytics?
  • Is there another place / view in Loomly where you would like to see your post metrics displayed?

If you have an answer to one or more of the above questions, feel free to reach out to us, either through our contact page or directly at contact@loomly.com.
