The beauty of the Internet is that you can learn anything thanks to the astronomical amount of resources on pretty much any topic.
That’s also, sometimes, a double-edge sword, as you may not even know where to begin when tackling something new.
Enters Knowledge Map, which breaks down large concepts into smaller, more digestible parts for you to actually start somewhere: a book, a website, a Wikipedia page, a video, or even another mind map!
For instance, let’s say you want to learn about design, just click on the Design node, and you will be taken to a page including links to:
- A Help node that will teach you “how not to suck as a designer”.
- A Basics node that will help you understand the fundamentals of design: typography, graphic design, human-computer interaction (UI & UX), etc. with additional resources for each item.
Knowledge Map is an open source project you can contribute to, here on GitHub.
This is basically serendipity with a compass, taking you down the rabbit hole in the exact direction you need to go… to learn anything.
What’s in it for Social Media Managers: a great opportunity to develop new skills or dive deeper in topics you already know.
