Shutterstock Labs, the innovation department of the famous stock photo bank, launched Shutterstock Palette, allowing you to explore images by palette and create your own inspiring color combinations.
This tool is dead simple, yet pretty powerful:
- Select colors you want in your paletter to filter photos.
- Add a keyword (optional).
- Decide whether you are looking for photos, illustrations or vectors.
- Let Shutterstock Palette suggests you visual assets matching your search criteria.
Shutterstock Palette does not allow you (yet) to search colors by color codes, but the available color palette suggestions are broad enough to match pretty much any color closely enough: above is a color palette similar to Loomly’s colors.
Shutterstock Palette is available for free from here.
What’s in it for Social Media Managers: if you know which colors your audience particularly react to, or if you want to stick to a specific color palette during a campaign, Shutterstock Palette is a powerful way to source visual assets by color palette.
